Spectral Analysis of the Light Scattered from a Chemically Relaxing Fluid: A Ternary Mixture
نویسنده
چکیده
The spectral distribution of light scattered by a ternary fluid mixture containing two chemically reactive species and one nonreactive species is considered and a normal mode analysis is carried out for a range of ^-values for which the pressure fluctuations are decoupled from those in entropy and concentration. The expressions obtained for both the lorentzian and non-lorentzian contributions to the Brillouin lines are straightfoiward extensions of those obtained foi the binary reactive mixture. The damping and strength factors of the three lorentzian contributions to the Rayleigh line are rather complicated functions of the transport coefficients and chemical relaxation time. As illustrative examples the situations where (a) the nonreactive species or (6) the two reactive species are present in very low concentration are considered in some detail.

Spectral Analysis of the Light Scattered by a Ternary Mixture
The normal mode analysis of the light scattered by a ternary mixture is presented. The treatment is based upon a method, previously formulated by the authors, which is valid under conditions for which the sound modes are decoupled from the modes associated with heat and mass diffusion. The expressions obtained for both the lorentzian and non-lorentzian contributions to the Brillouin peaks are s...

A new method was developed for the spectral resolution by further determination of three- and four-component mixtures of drugs in urine samples through the complementary application of multivariate curve resolution-alternating least squares with correlation constraint. In the current study, a simple method was proposed to construct a calibration set for the mixture of drugs in the p...
متن کاملCFD simulation for segregation behavior of a ternary mixture in a bubbling fluidized bed: effect of solid wall boundary condition
Abstract The effect of the solid–wall boundary condition on the segregation behavior of a sand ternary mixture differing in size but having the same proportion has been investigated in a gas–solid bubbling fluidized bed. A multi-fluid computational fluid dynamics model incorporating the kinetic theory of granular flow has been used. The mass fraction profiles of the different-sized partic...

In this study, an Eulerian-Eulerian multi-fluid model (MFM) was used to simulate the segregation pattern of a conical fluidized bed containing ternary mixtures of equidensity TiO2 particles. Experimental 'freeze–sieving' method was employed to determine the axial mass fraction profiles of the different-sized particles, and validate the simulation results. The profiles of mass fraction for larg...
متن کاملApplication of the Ratio Derivative Method in Quantitative Analysis of Samples Dyed with Ternary Dye Mixtures
In this study, a derivative method is applied for the determination of dye concentration in fabrics dyed with tricomponent dye mixtures. The reflectance of spectra of the samples were recorded between 400 and 700 nm. Initially, the obtained (K/S) spectra were divided by the spectrum of a standard sample dyed with two of the components in the ternary mixture and the derivative spectra were calcu...
